The Athlone-Mullingar Road (R390) runs through the centre of parish. The parish contains a population of approximately 240 which includes the nearby village of Tang. It is approximately 15 km from Athlone. There are two primary schools, Drumraney N.S. and Ardnagrath N.S., located just over two miles apart.
